Located in the beautiful Town of Uxbridge and its surrounding hamlets this free tour offers an opportunity to explore our beautiful countryside and the art work of local sculptors, photographers, painters, ceramists and potters, silver and goldsmiths and multi disciplinary mixed media artists and their guests. Artistic people love to share their gifts and talents and truly enjoy your feedback and of course their works are for sale. This year there are 27 artist that are opening their homes and studios on this self guided tour. The studio environments encompass all that Uxbridge has to offer with some located on large country properties and others in smaller spaces in town. You will traverse our hills and vales from Sunderland and beyond in the north to Claremont in the south with Uxbridge right in the heart of them all. With 27 local artists opening their studios and galleries this year as well as hosting 31 guest artists its no wonder it's recognized as one of the best studio tours in Ontario. Do A Little Pre Christmas Shopping It is a great time to do some pre-Christmas shopping for that unique gift for that hard to buy for person on your list. Make A Day Of It It is a perfect time to spend some time in the country taking in the fall scenery. Make sure you bring your camera along as you just never know what scenic vistas you may wish you had a picture of as you drive back country roads through the hills and vales that surround Uxbridge. Take time to visit some of the communities along your route, visit some of the unique local shops or enjoy some fine fare from the local pubs and eateries. |
